Make in Iraq:

Employment & Job Training

Currently Paused

As of the end of 2016, HERA job training and sustainable development programs are stalled pending additional project funding.

Combating violent extremism is about more than boots on the ground. Economic and employment opportunities need to be developed and maintained. Through job training, employment, and wages for both men and women, HERA is helping to promote a sustainable economic future in the Kurdish Region of Iraq.

Make in Iraq is an ongoing HERA initiatve to bring skilled jobs back to Iraq.

During 2016, HERA and local partners supported a job training and employment facility in Northern Iraq. The factory employed dozens of women producing high-quality garments.

As of early 2017, the program is paused. HERA is actively engaging international textile manufacturers to produce a portion of their clothing in Northern Iraq. Please contact us today if you or your company are interested in learning more.
