About HERA

The Heraion Foundation's mission is to support the most vulnerable communities and individuals. We are a veterans-run 501(c)3 non-profit. we use our special skill-set to help reunite families while strengthening at-risk communities.

Around the world, there are tens of thousands of women and children held in sexual captivity. Many more face systemic gender-based violence. Meanwhile, in our volatile times, at-risk communities are often trapped, unable to flee conflict and crisis.

Wherever we go, we use our front line veteran's skills in support of humanitarian objectives: helping to reunite families, delivering aid, and securing communities.

We work independently, with fully non-governmental backing from international, private donations.  We are based in the U.S. as a 501(c)3 non-profit with additional operational registrations in Iraq.

Our Story

The Heraion Foundation was established when a group of US & UK Veterans began to pool the skill-sets gained from their experiences in Middle Eastern & South Asian conflict zones.

The team shared a common goal of utilising the abilities developed on the front lines of conflict and crisis internationally - for and towards - supporting the most vulnerable.

Originally the team was organized in response to the ongoing extremist threats posed by Islamic State.

Bringing together US and UK Special Operations/Forces veterans, combined with local on the ground partners - and providing critical support where others could and would not go, is the very raison d'etre for the Heraion Foundation.
